There will be a VE Session on September 25, 2016 at UW Space Place at 15:00 central time.

Due to a lack of signups, there WILL NOT be a Technician Class on the weekend of September 24 and 25.

When another class is scheduled, we will post an update.

There will not be a general membership meeting this month.  Instead we will be holding the annual foxhunt.  Start time is 19:00 at 401 Charmany Ln, the east end of the First Business Bank building parking lot.
The fox will be on 146.465MHz.

The repeater for this will be the 147.150+ pl 123.0.
We hope to see you there!

An unusual dual-band, multi-mode, mobile radio is supposed to be on display at Dayton. The rig supports DMR, D-Star, C4FM, and has a slot for an LTE SIM card. There’s more about it here.

According to this link, there is now a way to incorporate a vacuum tube on board a Pi. Appropriate for today’s date? Well, the objectives seems sound.
