Old Business
ARRL Field Day
Position sign up has been sent to the membership. Our goal this year is to operate on battery power for the duration of the event with a generator as a backup power source. A few members are bringing 100 amp hour LiPO batteries, if more are available we would like to have them so please bring what you have. Same with long lengths of transmission line. Radios are all accounted for as well as logging PCs. If you want to bring and demo a portable station, you are welcome to. Kevin Graniero, KF9AQ, will be cooking dinner Saturday evening so make sure your name is on the sign up list so we have enough food purchased. Donuts and coffee will be available on Saturday morning. Kevin will cook eggs and sausage on Sunday morning as well. We will have a 10GHz portable microwave station demo on Saturday and will attempt a FD to FD contact, as well as listening to traffic off the moon. Thomas Murphy, W1NC, may attempt a satellite contact if time permits.
